Dr Nachiappan a/l N.Subramaniam is an Orthopaedic, Trauma Surgery and Sports Consultant based in Regency Specialist Hospital. He has over 27 years of experience under his belt through attachments, hands-on training from various medical institutions worldwide and previous services in the Malaysian Armed Forces, making him a highly adaptable and versatile medical practitioner within his specialized field. Having received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India (1989), he completed his Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery from Universiti Malaya (1999), as well as training in the Illizarov Technique for Limb Lengthening in Lecco, Italy (2004).
Having served as the Team Surgeon for the Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) Football Club from 2006 until 2015, he continues to provide treatment for retired JDT players and has conducted Arthroscopic Surgeries at 14 hospital and medical centres throughout Malaysia as a Visiting Surgeon that trains other doctors within the field of Arthroscopic Sports Surgery. In addition to having conducted presentations at numerous medical conferences and having articles published in medical journals, Dr Nachiappan obtained a Fellowship Training in Sports Surgery in Cape Town, South Africa, as well as Sydney and Perth, Australia (2005) and Seoul, South Korea (2006).
