Dr. Jeyaratnam has more than 20 years experience in the field of orthopaedic surgery.Besides the standard orthopaedic and trauma management, Dr. Jeyaratnam specialises in joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, adult reconstructive surgery and trauma surgery.
His skill set includes assessment of post traumatic bone loss, malunion and non union,followed by formulating special plan for limb reconstruction surgery with joint replacement, illizarov technique and limb reconstruction systems.
Dr. Jeyaratnam has special interest in sports surgery and has served as a surgeon for Melaka United FC the Melakastate football team. Dr. Jeyaratnam is also the author of “Office Orthopaedics for the GP”, an interactive CD-ROMthat forms the basis of the Malaysia Academy of Family Physicians course on practical orthopaedics. As a recognitionfor this effort in training general practitioners,he has been conferred a Honorary Fellowship from the Malaysia Academyof Family Physicians. He is a clinical professor and teaches clinical orthopaedics to medical students from Manipal Medical College.
