Dr Gan is an ENT consultant (Otorhinolaryngologist) at Mahkota Medical Centre, Melaka. His areas of expertise include diagnosis and management of problems associated with the ear, nose, throat, head and neck; allergic diseases, rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery.
His vast experience has seen him treating people both medically and surgically from all walks of life and diverse nationalities; from the very young to the elderly.
He was awarded the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology Fellowship at the Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam, to pursue his training and now runs an allergy clinic that provides diagnostic allergy tests such as skin prick test, serum allergen-specific IgE test among others besides providing allergen immunotherapy for management of allergies.
His stint in The Netherlands was closely followed by fellowship training in South Korea and Germany in the areas of rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery, and he performs surgeries to correct the functional aspect as well as enhance the appearance of the nose and face.
An avid learner himself, he enjoys sharing his knowledge and giving lectures to fellow doctors and medical personnel at conferences, and conducting workshops. He is also actively publishing papers on ENT diseases, allergy, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, and also a contributor and member of Cochrane, a global research organization.
