Milestones

2017

  • Completed the consolidation of ownership in Mahkota Medical Centre and Regency Specialist Hospital to 100% each.

2015

  • Mahkota Medical Centre (“Mahkota“) added two additional operating theatres to its Day Surgery Unit.
  • Regency Specialist Hospital (“Regency“) announced the construction of a new 10-storey Medical Outpatient Block at the back of its existing hospital building.
  • HMI Institute of Health Sciences (“IHS”) shifted its operations to the Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability.

2014

  • Regency achieves its first full year of profitability.

2012

  • Regency was conferred the Malaysian Healthcare Travel Council certification to provide healthcare services to overseas patients
  • IHS achieved a 4-year accreditation under the Council for Private Education’s (“CPE”) Enhanced Registration Framework and a 1-year accreditation under the CPE Edutrust Scheme.

2011

  • Mahkota became the first hospital-based laboratory outside Kular Lumpur to achieve the MS ISO 15189 accreditation for quality and competence in medical testing for chemical pathology and haematology.

2010

  • HMI opened its first local Medisave-accredited Referral Centre at Balestier Clinic and Health Screening Centre in Singapore
  • HMI hospitals in Malaysia approved by the Singapore Ministry of Health for Singapore residents to use their Medisave for hospitalisation and day surgeries overseas.

2009

  • HMI officially launched the 218-bed Regency Specialist Hospital in Johor, Malaysia.
  • Singapore Workforce Development Agency (“WDA”) appointed IHS as a Continuing Education and Training (“CET”) centre.

2008

  • HMI upgraded to the SGX Mainboard.
  • IHS partnered with WDA to train health care assistants for the step-down care sector in Singapore.

2007

  • IHS launched a new training centre.

2005

  • IHS received CaseTrust for Education.
  • HMI successfully completed the hospital management and equipment consultancy contracts with Grand Hospital Bengkalis, a 150-bed hospital in Indonesia.
